Hello all,

I wonder if someone can help me to clarify it

I went to a site and most of the users have RDP sessional enabled to access their applications using RDP session to a server that has windows server 2008 R2. Also I noticed that when the users do RDP to the server their "My Document folder" and Desktop folder is redirected. I am transitioning the users to new network infrastructor and server.

I want to take a backup of the My document folder and desktop folder that is redirected but when i login to the server as a local administrator I was not able to access the users My document folder. What is the best way to do copy the contents off the server.

Thanks,

If you want to backup the users folders use tha backup utiliy http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc754097(v=ws.10).aspx

If you are logged in as with admin or backup operator rights the then the backup tool will have permissions to backup and restore the folders.
