Hello Guys ,

when connecting the LDAP server to the sonicwall ,it imports all the users and groups from the Active Directory but the problem when applying some policies for users it doesn’t work ,
For example when applying the CFS (Via app rules method) ,we want to exclude some users that are imported from the LDAP such as the CEO or the HR manager from the CFS ,but the exclusion step doesn’t work properly ,it keeps blocking all user.
This is usally done by selecting –Matching object-->Everyone-->excluded-->”John “ for example where John is a LDAP user.

do you have any idea what i might be missing ?? please help

Well, I personally have accomplished this by creating Multiple CFS policies or just giving those users a reserved IP from the DHCP server and put those IP address in the exclusion list. I have attached a couple documents straight from Sonicwall that may be of assistance.
