I am after a free tool or free method to report for a specific network folder,

1) all files over > 100 MB and write the list of files out to a report.

2) all files/folders that havent been accessed in 12 months.

You can look at forfiles from Microsoft.
IT's a free tool for finding files based on size.

My personal favourite tool for this kind of reporting is Treesize Professional.
Not free, but Excellent for age analysis and reporting on large folders volumes and statisical information.

Download the fully working 30-day free trial.

There is also a freeware version, but I think it's limited to local drives only.
Once installed, you'll also find an extra application for finding duplicate files.

Yes it can do that.
I use it for file management and capacity planning.
Also when clearing up old drives, checking low diskspace issues, re-structuring data drives/file server moves.

Volumes in excess of 500GB are quickly scanned with many reports and views just a click away and of course it has .csv, .html, etc export formats.
