Query Design Microsoft Access 2007

I have a query in Access and items are listed by "Department" (left most column) -- and say there is Department A, B, C. I want the subtotals by department to be listed under each section in the column. Currently it is sorted alphabetically.

post an image of the result you are getting
You cannot do that in a single query.
EIther you show the detail OR you show department totals.  You can't do both in a single query.
