Running SQL Server in SBS2011

We have received a proposal from a supplier suggesting to run SQL Server (not SQL Express) on our SBS2011 server for an accounting system. It seems to me that this practice is not highly recommended in SBS environments, and to rather run the SQL server on it's own Windows Server. Am I wrong ? Could you give me MS or other sources or articles documenting if this is recommended or not ?

Thanks.

You can install SQL Server but its not recommended because of performance reasons.

What the consultant might have looked at is the current utilization of your server and future growth and saw no harm in them cohabiting.
