Set your view how you want in Windows Explorer..
Control Panel..  Folder Options..
View Tab..
Apply to all folders.

There are several folder display templates used by Windows 7 for different types of contents in Windows Explorer.  The following web page describes the process; it describes putting all folders into "Details" view, but the method can be adapted for any other view, such as "List".
Open windows explorer
 Select favorites  make sure the favorites is not expanded then select on the right dropdown list( select  list then on the dropdown list of organize select folder and search options then click view  click apply to folders then ok.  And you have to apply the same method for the Libraries, Computer and Network.
Note: make sure in the Folder Option you un checked all contents in the Files and Folders
