My email bounce with an error "Remote SMTP Server Returned: 451 Internal Error

We have a windows dedicated server with 1&1 using MailEnable as Mail Server, and since yesterday we are trying to send emails a customer, and every emails we send bounce back with that error: "Remote SMTP Server Returned: 451 Internal error"

Does anyone can tell me if it's really the remote server who is having a problem or the problem is on our side?

If the problem is on our side, how can i troubleshoot that problem?

I'm not really familiar with email servers...

We are able to send emails to other customers, hotmail and gmail addresses also... so my guess is that our customers is experiencing some difficulties but i just wanted to make sure that the problem CAN'T be on our side.

This error is at the client's email server side. Nothing could be done at your end to fix it.

Well, based on the description... ie: "Remote SMTP Server Returned"...  that was my guess too.  It can't be caused by a failure to resolve the domain name since the Remote SMTP Server replied with an error 451.   But i just wanted to make sure that it's not an error code with a wrong description.

I'll leave this thread opened until tomorrow to get more inputs.  Maybe someone else already experienced this problem and the problem was on their hand...

Post your bounced mail/Non Delivery Report(NDR).

That is what it sounds like. If you want to verify it, try sending a message to the same destination address from a GMail account or something. If you still have that problem, your problem is verified.

@rigan123: I hardly understand how it will be useful to have the full report but here it is.  Of course, i've replaced confidential informations.

There is nothing to do into your server/side.It's from customer end.You need to cntact to that server administrator.

Obviously, it's a problem with their server.  Even extremly large organisation seems to have their emails servers problems.

But next time i'll do as doughboy asked... will try to send an email from Hotmail or GMail account, even if the chance of beeing rejected just because it's GMail/Hotmail is extremly high for this kind of organization
