this is weird. Server is SBS 2003 w SP2

I can RDP to the server and login fine
But at the console I only see a blue background screen

control alt delete does nothing

no one is logged in at the console.  there are no other users on the system currently.

Also I can use Team Viewer and VNC to see the console and the result is the same.  Just a background and no way to login

We are going to reboot the server later, but i thought I would check here and see if anyone has anything else I can try or check

Your console session is busted, I've seen this before and has also been linked to the local antivirus causing this problem too.

A reboot will most likely solve the issue, but heads up if you have updated the AV on this server and showing these symptoms.

ok logon using RDP, open taskmgr, make sure you select the Show processes from all users. select explorer and end process tree. then hit alt button on your keyboard in order to see the taskmgr menu, ckick on new and type in explorer.exe than ok.
