When I try to RDP to a Windows device from my Mac I am presented only with host name and no option to specify which user ID  I want to log on with.   How can i specify say that I want to login as super user rather than using my current login ID?  Thanks.

Try using an application called CoRD (http://cord.sourceforge.net/) which is a good RDP client for OSX.

If you are using RDC on the Mac, Open the app, then click RDC > Preferences.  The Login Tab is where you can specify the log in credentials you want to use.

Excellent.  Thank you for helping me transition to the MacBook.  So many little things coming from the PC world.

It is not as hard as a lot of people make it out.  I have a much harder time moving from Windows to Linux than I did from Windows to Mac!
