Email stuck in Outbox in Outlook, 2010

Hello
An email is stuck in the Outbound queue of my Outlook 2010 client.
When I right-click and then select DELETE, it doesnt delete it.

do the following:

File > work offline > go to outbox and delete

then go back to:

File > work online

if they are using Outlook 2010 then do the following:

Click on the Send/Receive tab and click Work Offline

After deleting the message go back and to  Send/Receive and click Work Online
