Outlook 2003 SP3 Every new 'line' becomes capitalized automatically

when I am typing in Outlook 2003 and click enter, the first letter in the new line automatically becomes capitalizced.

Not to be confused with the first letter of a new sentence...

any ideas on how to fix this?

That is simply a function of Outlook using Word as its editor and using HTML email. Word does this as well.

Why?  You get proper word wrapping only by typing on (no enters) until the end of a sentence. Only press enter when you are all done the above (even multiple sentences in the same paragraph).

So it is default and I don't think you can readily change it.

I also looked at Text emails and it is the same. True in Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010.

Under tools > options > Mail format

Do you have Use Word to edit email messages checked? as well as the check box below it?
If so, it uses Word settings to do this.  Try unchecking the boxes and restart Outlook.

You can also try the autocorrect options in Spelling and uncheck replace text as you type.
