Hello,
I cant access my LAN since I purchased and installed a license of BD, I see online there is a lot of people experiencing this problem... please your help on this....the support of BD opened a ticket and will answer me in 48 hours, but I need my LAN now. It would be a waste to have to uninstall BD... hope you can help me experts.

rrjmin0,
Yes I did and although the article says at the end its valid for Bit Defender 2012 Antivirus Plus 2012, truth is there is no FIREWALL option and from then on cannot follow the procedure. I attact an image justafterpressing OPTIONS button.

You are correct and it seems as though you have access to the Firewall with BitDefender Total Security 2012 but not with BitDefender Antivirus Plus 2012.

Did you make sure that your previous Antivirus and any other Malware software was uninstalled before installing BitDefender. If not I would suggest removing those products and trying a reinstall.

Yes I removed malwarebytes.

I believe firewall module comes only in Bitdefender Internet Security and Total Security.

I suggest you uninstall Bitdefender , restart pc and check 1st LAN connection and again Re-install Bit defender.

AV plus doesn't have a firewall. But, it is a home based version for computers not on a domain. It doesn't mean that it can't block certain ports important to domain features, like the LDAP port...

One of the largest problems with a home based AV or firewall is it blocks domain features. One of the highest targets it blocks that is important to a 2003 server domain is NetBIOS. Netbios is used for domain logons. Unless cached you might not be able to logon to your client computers. Can you logon locally, without authenticating to the domain controller?

If so, run NetStat -ano at the command prompt to look at the ports that are blocked. We may have to go into bit defender registry settings and unblock domain ports.

Before uninstalling could you just disable the BD and see if you are able to access the LAN?
