I don't think so. However you can simply ignore the iPhone indicator. I ignore it. When I see it, I go to iTunes and do the updates I want (or remove the app) and when that is complete. I simply re-sync with iTunes. This works well and there is very little iPhone overhead just to check. ... Thinkpads_User

IOS 5.1.1 is out, so you might update. I have had lots of App updates since this post, but as noted I get them all through iTunes and my iPhone is not troubled at all. <br />

Thank you. I guess in the end may just be the number of apps you have. My apps do refresh, but I do not have that many, and I am not finding it a big burden. <br />

It seems that every other time I turn my iphone on and browse some of the apps are refreshing with a progress bar, it only takes a second but seems to slow down the process. I do not have wifi sync on.

Iphone apps always refreshing

The iPhone is a smartphone made by Apple Inc.
