"0xc000000e The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible," occurs after restore of a Windows 7 OS image
Hi Experts,
I have just upgraded the Hard Disk in my laptop.
I have restored ShadowProtect images of my System Reserved and C: partitions for my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit system.
I have examined the contents of each partition and they look reasonable.
Right now I have the System Reserved partition set to boot (I also tried setting C: to boot, but that didn't work either).
I am getting this error:
I am unable to run the Repair option from my Windows 7 DVD - booting from the DVD takes me to a screen that lets me choose what partition to install Windows in - there is no sign of a Repair option.
Regards,
Leigh

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware of software change might be the cause.

Are you sure you don't have the repair option when booting from the DVD?
