Sharing HP LaserJet on XP to Windows 7 64 Machine
We have a Windows XP machine that is sharing a HP LaserJet 4014n over the network.
We just purchased a Windows 7 64 machine that is also on the same network. We downloaded the Windows 7 64 universal driver (PS, PCL5, PCL6) for it, ran the installer, and it finds the printer, but when we point it to the directory that was expanded by the installer, it says no suitable driver found (or something to that likeness).
What are we doing wrong?

Yes I am sure.
Why would I try Vista drivers on a Windows 7 machine?

I would download the Windows 7 HP LaserJet drivers to the windows 7 computer and then go to add printer. Let the install procedure find the printer on the network and install the drivers you just downloaded.
