I have 2 owa servers one on West coast and one on east coast.  The one on east coast is  sitting behind a VIP that does SSL offloading. I cant get rpc over http working on it.  if i bypass VIP it works.   Are there any special ports that need to eb opened on the load balancer/vip for it to work.  if i try from out look password prompt keeps popping up.

Thank you

RPC over HTTP uses only port 443. Maybe it is not a port problem but certificate problem.
If you use OWA the browser shows that certificate is trusted and the name of mail server is certificate is specified correctly? It can be that VIP is using own certificate.

Commented:
You need to check for the certificate  i.e both certificates on CAS & VIP should be the same...
