SharePoint 2010 - Mac cannot connect calendar to Outlook

My company uses SharePoint 2010. A few employees use Macs, and the "Connect to Outlook" option is greyed out. In this specific instance, it renders them unable to view a SharePoint Calendar in their Outlook. Are there any workarounds?

Not known for me and it seems official not supported in the way you need to have it.

as a workaround I have a VM running on my MAC and there is WIN7 incl. Outlook 2010 on it. This works for me.

Calendars work with an ActiveX control and the stssync:// protocol. Therefore, functionality may be limited without an ActiveX control, such as the one that is included in Microsoft Office 2010. The feature also requires an application that is compatible with the stssync:// protocol, such as Microsoft Outlook.

I hear the Mail app will natively support Exchang. We'll have to wait and see if that means SharePoint calendar support as well.
