I have an existing Windows 2008 Enterprise 64bit 2 node cluster in production with SQL Server 2008 which is working fine currently.  We want to decommission the existing hardware and replace with new servers, rather than build the cluster from scratch I want to add the two new servers as new nodes and then evict the old hardware.  However the new servers were built with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise R2 64bit.  Is there a problem with adding these two nodes to the cluster with different OS versions?

Looks like there will be:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935197

Could do an upgrade migration.
Upgrade the passive node to R2 then fail-over to the R2 server, evict the 2008 node, rebuild as R2, join the cluster, do the SQL cluster piece and then evict the upgraded node, join and fix.

Thanks for the replies, looks like I'll have to go another way about it.
