Hey team,

I need to setup an Android emulator for a Galaxy S2 on a Windows 7 Desktop to be able to test our in house app that our field agents run.
Can anyone advise me of one that will work nice and easy?

Thanks

The Android SDK has a built in emulator to do exactly what you want.
+1 for oharvey - Use the emulators built into the Android SDK.

Choose the version to match the version of Android on your field agents phones, as the Galaxy S2 can potentially run a few different flavours of Gingerbread (2.3.x) and will get Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.x) in the future from some network carriers.

phonegap is an application framework, not an emulator.

Thanks guys - am currently downloading the SDK and installing. When it's installed is it simply an option in the start menu (Android Emulator)?

To an extent, yes. Here is a guide straight from the Android developer website that should help:

http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/devices/managing-avds.html

Most everything you need can be found somewhere on that site.

Hope this helps.
You might consider using the phone itself. You will need a cable, probably a USB cable to connect to the phone.
