Good Day

I am using Uranium Pro SQL 8 to backup some of my SQL databasis to a Seagate Black Armour device.

I keep on getting the following error.

START BACKUP - DATABASE SQL SERVER - 2012/04/19 03:06:50 PM

Server: Servername - SQL Server 2008 (SP1) Standard Edition (64-bit) SP1 (10.0.2573.0)

Database: justlamb

Backup file path: \\Seagate\Test\test.bak

Errors in database operations: Cannot open backup device '\\Seagate\Test\test.bak'. Operating system error 1326(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15105)

Backup file size: 0.00 Bytes

END - BACKUP DATABASE SQL SERVER COMPLETED WITH ERRORS
2012/04/19 03:06:51 PM (Time taken: )

This sounds like a access problem, but I cant see to figure out what the issue is. I can copy a file from the spesific folder to the \\Seagate\Test\ path without any issues.

okay;

check the following;

see if you can backup to a local attached disk. sql should be able to backup to this disk.
then use a script or sync software to copy if off the bacl armopur device.
