Canon ir5075 Scan Document to Email End Code #899

Two of my Canon ir5075 printers are not able to scan to email this morning. They were working fine at the end of last week. When scanning, the printers report the scanned file was sent OK but the end code is #899.

Thanks for the help!

899 doesn't mean it isn't sent, it means the system couldn't verify reception, this could be because it went thru multiple servers.

Canon End Code #899
From the Canon Sending Guide:

Cause: The e-mail or I-fax has been successfully sent, but reception may be incomplete because transmission was relayed via multiple servers.

Remedy: Confirm whether reception was complete. Check if you received an error mail.

Can you confirm that the email was or was not sent?

The emails are ending up in my C:\inetpub\mailroot\Queue folder on the server that is handling the SMTP jobs for this scan to email system.
Have you checked the \badmail directory to see if any of them have ended up in there yet?  this might give us some clue as to where to start....
No emails have been sent to the Badmail folder. Just to the queue.
You commented that two of them are doing this, do you have others on the network?  What is different between these two and any others?
files ending up with 899 or in the queue usually indicate smtp problems, has anything changed in relation to the smtp?
Have you checked this post: http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/canon/7118-canon-ir4080-scan-e-mail-end-code-801-899-a.html

about the 4th reply down there is a fix that might be of some help? rather long post or I would have copied it here....
