exchange 2007 emails stuck in queue

have an issue over the last week with emails getting stuck in the queue viewer of an exchange 2007 server on windows 2008 sbs standard.  The mail server's IP address is on the backscatter.org blacklist and we can wait 4 weeks for it to be delisted or pay $115 to delist it immediately.  Mail is getting passed the mail security for exchange from Symantec so mail is coming into the organization but not being delivered to the mapi outlook clients, and when restarting the information store or the server, it will start to clear up slowly.  Mail in the queue will be delivered approximately 1.5 to 2 hours after it arrives.  There are really no event logs  exept asp.net event ID 1309 and event code 3001.  the request has been abort.  Also, MSExchange ActiveSync error of 1008 (dont think this has anything to do with it as it just started happening 4 days after the initial issue).

The mail server was working fine this morning but during the afternoon, it bogged down again with the same issue.  Any help would be appreciated as this is causing issues with this client.

Will the immediate delisting help the issue even though mail is getting through and mail sent out to external clients are arriving as they should?  it is just emails getting delivered internally having issues.

have you run the exchange best practice analyzer too to see if it points to something.

backscatter.org doesn't affect your internal email, unless and really speculating here somehow internal and external DNS are misconfigured.

Could run dcdiag /test:dns just to be sure.

If the emails are stucked in the queue viewer, can you tell me, in which queue the emails are stayed and when you open up that queue, what is the error message appearing on the last tab..

It will give you more information on why the emails are not delivered, you can double click the email in the queue to see the error.

If your domain is black listed, call the vendor who blocked and ask for the reason and try to rectify it.

Rajkumar, the emails are stuck in the queue under Next Hop Domain of our full server name.  The status states Ready on the last tab but no error message.  The emails are just sitting in the queue.  This SBS server has been up and running for nearly 2 years and no changes hvae really been made except updates.

Sorry, there are errors - 451 4.4.0 Primary target IP address responded with 421 4.2.1 unable to connect "Attepmted failover to alternate host, but that did not scceed.....

Also, 451 4.4.0 DNS query failed.

The main concern is the mail server in the queue is giving error of 432 4.3.2 mailbox server is offline error but it is not offline.

These are the errors in the queue viewer.
