Windows Update Error 80200010 Windows 7 Professional
I am setting up several computers for a client and keep running into this error. I can do a whack of Windows Updates and then I start getting this error and can't get the remaining updates to install. (these are all .net4 security and .net4 windows updates - 8 of them)
I am installing Win 7 Pro, 64 bit w/SP1 included, Intel DH61 mobo with i5 CPU.
I have tried all the solutions I can find online including this one:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958047/en-us
but nothing works. I am definitely online :P as I can download chrome or firefox etc, but I am stymied in regards to Windows Update

Post by motnahp00 SHOULD do it...
If not, you can try uninstalling .net4 totally (if not needed, that should be it...)
If needed, reinstall from scratch after a total uninstall...

deleted the software distribution , btw should the second line read:
del /s /q C:\windows\softwaredistrib ution ??
uninstalled .net4
rebooted, still getting the error on an Explorer 9 update...

Try installing a single update versus a bundle.

yup, tried that
atm I'm downloading the Explorer update manually and going to try installing it without Windows Update and see if it takes

The update installed manually without a problem. Windows Update now wants to do .net4, but I'm going to bypass that. I'm not sure I can say I've solved the problem but at least I'm passed this point.
