Discussion: Delphi vs Matlab for Voice Recognition

Hi guys.
I need to make a voice recognation program. 3 possible ways.
1- Delphi
2- Matlab in delphi
3- Matlab.
My idea; Delphi is enough for plot analyze of the jpeg pictures. However I couldn't find good echolizer component for delphi. I can't visualize sound enough.
However I had little experience with matlab and matlab was very good with visualizing .wav files.
It is some kinda complex to entegrate matlab into delphi.
And it is time consuming to learn matlab for a program.
Any idea?
Thank you.

:). I am already fan of those components.
However even those seem not sufficient for this project. ( I am working with them for a while)

Thanks alot it was very helpful comment.

So I just have one more concern. What is electronic and other engineers choice for these kind of programs.
Matlab or Mapple or even others.

My decision at Matlab side however I still have concerns at the beginning.

Can you say learn Matlab it will satisfy you all as engineer considering different data process approaches...

I had problem with matlab compiled programs' IDES.
They look so simple.
Therefore  I wanted to integrate matlab into Delphi to produce programs with beautiful user interfaces
By the way What about Maple

thanks alot it was really helpful. But I am still hungry. Any more :)

And another question. Is there any other approach besides grahical visuallisation of the voice?
Like creating matrixis from the wav binary data. Or some kind of that?
I am not familiar with the "how to" of using matrix math to effectively pull out the carrier wave of the voice.  If I were serious about designing software that handled this type of requirement, I would probably start with a book like this one:

sorry that book is much more heavy than I lift.
