standards field data in ms access

Hi Experts

I have a field in my table (source) data where some of the same data fields are keyed in slightly differenetly....how do i standards the names in the table...

so Field "Status" has

1. LMA1* and LMA1
2. Telephone2* and Telephone2

I want to remove the * from the data and only show Telephone 2 and LMA1...
