I have a number of tables that are common across a number of schemas.

What is the best approach

example tblCounty is used across 5 different schemas

Can I include it in 1 schema or do I create 1 schema with all tables that are common to many schemas

Thanks

Hi,
I would suggest to use a common schema for all - I call it - master data.

You can include it in 1 schema.

Schemas help to manage the logical entities separately from one another, but still allow objects to work together where required.

Schemas, offer a convenient way to separate database users from database object owners. They give DBA’s the ability to protect sensitive objects in the database, and also to group logical entities together.
