Hi there,

My company has a SQL Server database that supports operations mostly in Europe. The server collation is Latin1_General_CI_AS.  We are beginning to do business in China.

Does anyone have any experience of localising SQL server to support both Latin and Cantonese type faces.  Do any collations support both typefaces?

Thank you,

You are confusing collations with Unicode characters.  Collation has to do principally with how characters are sorted and compared in the database.  Unicode supports double-byte languages such as Chinese and Japanese.

There are a couple of good articles in SQL Server's BOL on the subject:
Working with Collations
Working with Unicode Data
Thank you very much for your help
