Windows server 2003 question

I know this has been asked before and I found a few links on  the web but I still cannot get it working.

I would like to move the c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution folder to another partition. The obviously reason of course, the C partition is close to max.

I tried this link http://msmvps.com/blogs/jeffloucks/archive/2010/09/19/redirecting-updates-and-the-software-distribution-folder-using-junction-to-another-hard-drive.aspx
I follow the instructions as outlined and I am getting error at the command prompt. I tried every combination bu it not working

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated

did you stop the BITS and Automatic Update services first? I see it is not listed in the tutorial you show but it will cause problems if you do not.

I stopped the automatics update service. Do not stop the BITS. Will try that

I stopped both services and got the same result
