"microsoft office professional plus 2007 configuration did not complete successfully"

Anamorphosis used Ask the Experts™
my Outlook outbox won't empty even though the e-mails are of small size and simple.

I close, open, reboot, etc., no luck. I tried repairing from the install disk, and got no completion of the task, it just stayed there hanging. I retried and got the error message: "microsoft office professional plus 2007 configuration did not complete successfully"

Now Outlook and all of office is "broken" can't even get into it.
