I have several hundred text files that contain customer email addresses that I need to extract and send a personalized message to each.

Does anybody know of a package or something else that I can use to do this rather than opening each and manually extracting.

Thanks

Is the email text at the same spot in every file?

You should take a look at windows GREP. This is a port of the linux command it will let you point at a directory of files and search through them for strings matching a certain word pattern etc.

I would think for emails you could use something similar to *@*.*
