Upgrade from SQL 2005 Express to SQL 2008 express

I have recently upgraded my version of SQL Server 2005 Express to SQL Server 2008 Express.  Since then, I am not able to connect to my database created in 2005.  Here is the error I am getting, can anyone tell me what it means?

Server Error in '/' Application.

Thanks Jet-Black.  I have already tried this solution and it did not work. Its discouraging too becuase this is the solution that seems to be the most documented online. Any other thoughts?
