Upgraded some thin clients firmware and moved to 2008 Terminal server 64-bit. Local HP printers are not being redirected. I have read there is an issue HP printers..is this true.  This is a WYSE thin client, by the way. I have read the possible solutions to Q; "windows 2008 64 Bit TS printers nor redirecting. (below link)" and see that the question is unresolved. Is there an update for that question?

It does not look to be clear from the question if both the 64bit and x86 drivers that match the client drivers are loaded on the 64bit server.  That would be neccissary if the printers are going to map correctly.

Sorry, I was pulled away for a server issue. Will try that today hopefully.
I loaded botht he 64bit sandf x86 drivers on the 2008 server, but no difference. I played with settings on the VZL10 thinclient, which had different printer options with the firmware upgrade to 7.x.x.x. Got it to work by making the PRINTER ID match the printer driver name on the server, and checking the box to connect printer in the WTOS on thin client. .
