You need to rename the VM like you do a physical machine. Folder name/vmx name/display name can be the same.

I have virtual machine(using Vmware player) it has computer name FTest &nbsp;and fullname has<br />
FTest.development.robotics<wbr />.lan.<br />
I want to rename it to MTest &nbsp;because one of the problems i am having is i am unable to get external ip address because on network there is a machine which is by the name FTest. And after renaming the vmware i have to go to virtual machine settings navigate to Network adapter and check the Bridged:connected directly to the physical network to get external IP. Can anyone tell &nbsp;me how to rename the virtual machine
