.NET 3.5 SP1 on Windows Server 2008 R2

"Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 is required for installation. Setup cancelled." I need to install Exchange Best Practises Analyzer. 3.5 SP1 is installed. Do i install .NET 4? Also need to work this out as my other question in ExpertExchange is related to this. Isn't 3.5 backwards compatible for 1.1??

No you dont need to uninstall anything.

Download from Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26
OK 1.1 installed now but i still have the problem with the Exchange 2007 SP1 install being blanked out, in the past has that been related to .NET? In my experience it has been .Net, it wouldn't be Java or something would it?
What do you mean by "Blanked out" Do you get errors reported?
have a look at the jpeg of the Service Pack update. its all whited out. Have been able to install Roll ups until SP 1 Rollup 10, but not Service Pack 3.
Has any one had time to observe the jpeg above to see if they've seen anything like this before with .Net?
The ONLY image i see in this post shows Uninstall or Change a program.  BMG-Exchange-2007.JPG 206 KB
