Lose printer after RDP

I have a workstation in a workgroup. Every time I connect to the workstation using RDP the printer disappears. The printer is network connected. I need to reinstall it or run a system restore to get it back.
What could be causing this?
How can I fix this?

No, I didn't do that. I will give it a try.

If that doesn't work, you can try sharing your printer then mapping an LPT port to point at your printer so RDP will think you're using a printer connected to a parallel port.
