If I buy HP SAN , then purchase the disks from another provider and a disk fails...will HP send new disk?

hi guys

I'm planning to purchase a SAN enclosure from a provider. Then buy the disks from another provider. Purely because the second provider gives a greater deal on those disks.

If during the time of usage, I get disk failures, will I still be able to have HP send me a new disk for that enclosure? I would have thought as long as they are HP disks, then it would be fine regardless of where I got it from?

Thanks

As long as the disk provider is a certified HP reseller and you purchase the support on the disks then yes HP should replace them.

You will have to check the warranty too, it will state clearly what you may or may not get.
