Looking For a mini projector
Can anyone recommend a mini projector that is hopefully not to expensive and can show decent quality. I really want it to use in a church small group which just consists of about 10 people or so...I usually show them videos on my macbook which is a 13 inch screen but i was thinking it will be better if we had a larger screen which is why im thinking about buying a decent small projector instead of those big kinds which may be more expensive???

BenQ Joybee GP1 is a good 'mini' projector, however you have to keep in mind that the price difference is not all that bad compared to 'full size' projectors.
You also have to consider what kind of room you are using the projector in, as the mini projectors are considerably less bright (100 Lumens/1000 Lumens - on average)

does the sharper image projector work with laptops???
i think you would have to get an adapter. i gave mine away to a friend, i think it uses the red yellow and white wires
you can get an adapter to vga or dvi or hdmi from radioshack

one thing though, you get what you pay for so it wont be crisp HD quality if you get a projector for under $1000

okay but in your opinion that projector is a good one??? u have seen it in action b4???
i used to use it, the resolution isnt great, but you can do things with it. just dont set your laptop to 1900 x 1440 resolution
otherwise the text might be a little blurry
ive seen most of the projectors, they are almost all the same when purchased for under $100
if you get one for $250 its gonna be the same as the $99 one. dont let the sales person tell you otherwise.
hope that helps

The Dell M109S is a decent projector for a low price. But again as other posters have said you get what you pay for, it doesn't do HD quality resolution and doesn't project brightly in a fully lit room but it is very portable and low cost: http://www.dell.com/ed/business/p/dell-m109s/pd
If performance is more important to you over portability you can definitely find a full sized projector for the same cost as some of the mid to higher end mini projectors.

they project up to 72 inches and come with sound
