The Active X Control prompt is not working even after enabling the Active X in Internet Options, reinstalling IE7, and also setting compatibility view mode.  The system is running Win XP, IE 7 and this started happening after security updates were applied as per the user a couple weeks back.  The updates installed are the following (attached as .png file).

jduran04--I am not sure I entirely understand what you mean by "not working".

Run a System Restore to time before the recent updates.  This should uninstall the Updates, but check the box "Scan for affected programs" on the last window just before you start System Restore.  You may see other installations that may be causing the problem.

If no help set Internet Options|Security Tab to Default Level.

jcimarron:  What I mean by not working is that the ActiveX Control does not launch.  I'll work on a System Restore and will let you know what happens.

jduran04--"enabling the Active X in Internet Options"
I assume that , most importantly, the box for "Run ActiveX controls ad plug-ins" is set to Enable.
