Free Portable Anti-Virus for Thumb-drive?

Pancake_Effect used Ask the Experts™
I'm using portable apps, from I don't really like the selection of anti-viruses.

Is there a free portable anti-virus I can put on my thumb-drive? I would be using this to fix people's computers that have viruses on them. I don't do it as a business, I just do it to help people out at work (you know how that goes haha) hence why I just want a free AV that's portable.

And this will convert the bootable CD AV .iso into a bootable thumbdrive

After reading more into ClamAV that might be the solution, I was thinking that was a Apple product for some reason. Looks to be working great with the portableapps

techhealth, have you had any experience with ClamAV, does it detect pretty good?
In my experience it's pretty good...  It goes without saying that the PortableApp version only works if you still trust the Windows environment to run it.  In the past when I don't even trust the Widows installation, I've used the Linux based ClamAV from a bootable CD, then scanned the hard drive in question from the Linux environment on the CD, which also gave me good results.
