Hi,
there is application server has application installed with windows server 2008 .. i want to make copy of this server
i imaged the C drive by acronis and i restored the image to another server .. once it load it asked me to activate the windows ... i activated the windows without changing the SID
after that i were not able to login to the original server it just give blank screen after login
to solve the issue i run sysprep in the new server to change the SID then restart after that only the original server able to login normally
now how i can duplicate this server ?? after i run sysprep the server keep restarting only

You can use Ghost to image your server or use the native Windows Server Backup utility.

if i use windows native to backuo the original and restore the image to the duplicate server ... do this way will change the SID?
No, this will not change the SID.
If you want to generate a unique SID on every instance, for a new server deployment I recommend that you do the following:
1. sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown
2. capture your computer state using imagex
3. copy your .WIM file to a bootable media substituting the default install.wim file
4. now you have a bootable media with the application
