Resolving the issue would have been better but I could not wait any longer because my backups were failing. So the quick fix was to redo the backups and make sure they completed successfully.

I am using MS DPM 2010 to backup Microsoft Failover cluster. One of the nodes in the cluster went down and the services on that cluster failed over to the other node.
