Problem with Lenovo T61 Network Adaptor

I purchased a Lenovo T61 off of eBay.  It came with Windows 7 installed.  I dont like Windows & so I installed Windows XP.  After installinf Windows XP, the computer would not recognize the Network Asaptor.  I cant connect to the internet or anything.  Before I installed Windows XP, I was able to connect to the internet. What do I need to do to fix this?

You need another computer with internet access

then go to lenovo support web site and download drivers for your network adpter

here is link for your model: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-67853

download the proper driver and transfer it with flash drive to your laptop

Download the driver for LAN card on other machine

Driver download

Copy the driver to USB stick and then connect that to T61 notebook.

Go to Device Manager, Right click on network card, select update driver software, select the browse my computer for driver software.

Then give the path of USB stick.

Do you have your network adapter in Device Manager?
Try to update driver http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-67829
Eventually uninstall network adapter from device manager reboot computer and then new hardware will be found.
another idea fix winsock

I ended up getting a Recovery and Restore Disk which got me everything back to factory.
