I find many of these in my &quot;auth.log&quot; and cannot determine the originating IP.<br />

FreeBSD AuthLog - Cannot Identify PAM AUTH Error

Unix is a multitasking, multi-user computer operating system originally developed in 1969 at Bell Labs.
