My OS is win 7 Prof 64 bit and I have the above.  I recorded an audio using my mic and saved it.  When editing, the track does not show as like wave lengths going up and down.  As it has been such a long time I do not know how to get it show the waves, so that I could put markers or delete portion of that audio.  Hope one of the experts can pse show me how to do this.  thank u

If you open your recorded file in Soundforge, what do you see?
And if you play the file in Soundforge, do you see a vertical line going from the left to the right?

if it is very small you can zoom in.

In response to Sjizzel, I do not see any vertical line going up and down like a graph.  I remember I used to have this in earlier OS versions like XP, but with win 7 Prof 64 bit, I only see one straight line.  Thank u.

Assuming you have Sound Forge Pro 8, and not Sound Forge Audio Studio, here is information on upgrading to Sound Forge Pro 10, which definitely runs on W7x64:

I use this on a Windows 7 64-bit version and it works fine.
