Mobile broadband control what applications use internet

Good Morning All

i am trying to find a software or a way to control what applications can access the internet when i am using my aircard, that way i dont have windows updates,software updates etc trying to run. so if i just want outlook to receive email then make a exception for outlook. any ideas?

All I can think of is getting a bandwidth limiting software.  I'm unsure of whether you can setup 2 seperate limits for when you're on the air card or not.  But it's just an idea.

I would suggest just turning off updates. If you have a 5gb plan with your aircard's ISP, you should be good for alot of emails/internet useage. "Clear" is a company that is available in some areas depending on where you will be using it, and it is unlimited data.
