How can I get this thing to move over a little bit?

Attached is a screen shot of a rotating banner. You can see something very similar at loosecannonradio.com.

In this case, however, I want to move the banner over about 10 px. But, regardless of how I manipulate the margins, I can't get it to budge.

My code and css is below. What am I missing? Why can't I get it to move?

li {
margin-left: 0px;

#imagefadebox {
  display: none;
  position: absolute;
  list-style-type: none;
  list-style-position: outside;
  list-style-image: none;
  margin-top: 0px;
  margin-right: 0px;
  margin-bottom: 0px;
  margin-left: 0px;

#portfolio { margin-top: 0px; }

<UL style="height: 0px; position: relative; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 50px;">

At the risk of sounding foolish, what would that look like code-wise?

Never mind, figured it out and your suggestion worked great!

Sorry, I didn't see this until this morning.  I'm glad you figured it out and my response was helpful!
