Main form has a text box (txtDesc). When a button (Add New) is clicked, a second form is to open right below txtDesc on top of the main form.

The desirable behavior is the second form to stay on top but not act modal.

Question: How do I do this?

Thank you.

Mike,

Try this:
Set the second form's Popup property to Yes, Modal to No

Then:

Docmd.Open "frm2"
Forms("frm2").Move ...{specify your x and y}

Open in new window

I would put the Move op in the Open event of the form opening, and also make the X,Y relative to the current position of frm1 (and event txtDesc) ... that way it's relative and will always be where you want it.

Not sure but note that this may be dependent of the screen resolution (or dual Monitors, ...etc)?

So what may work on your screen at 1280X1024, may not be positioned correctly at another resolution.
