Exchange 2007 edb restore

Hello Experts,

We've just sufferered a double disk failure, resulting in the complete loss of  the Data drive on a 2008 server, running Exchange 2007. (Also  the DC)  The O/S is still running and I'm able to access the Exchange Management Console.  I'm in the process of getting some new HDs sent down so I can create a new RAID5 data drive.  Whilst waiting I'm restoring the exchange edb file from our offsite backup to a usb drive.    (Using Ahsay)

Is it possible (highly doubt it) to recreate the folder structure on the Data drive where the edb was stored and just copy the edb file that I've restored from the offsite backup and then remount it ? .. Possibly with a little help from eseutil

Any advice before starting this process would be gratefully received

Tried all the eseutil / isinteg tricks, but just could not mount the restored databases. So I ended up using the dial tone restore, then exchange  database recovery software to extract the mailboxes into pst files.
