how to make windows 7 use a dynamic menu pointing to a shared drive
I am looking for an easy means to have Windows 7 point to a menu or a folder on a network shared drive (it is a folder of stand alone apps -- no installations) - and this solution should be updated remotely -- no manual hand-jamming. A GPO or SCCM update would be one of our two means.
So to repeat:
1. we have a shared folder S:\Applications which can contain a file or folder
2. this file or folder should be available on the users Start Menu
3. it should be dynamic so that if we update the object in #1 the menu will reflect the update
4. it should be installed via the network, either through policy or a software push
