Mac ZIP open as encrypted
Hi,
Got a client with about 30 staff members opening Zip files created on Macs and the extracted files are showing as encrypted as described here: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/asklar/archive/2012/05/03/why-do-zip-files-from-mac-os-show-up-as-green-encrypted.aspx.
Only way to fix it is to manually clear the encryption flag on each file from the original account it was unzipped from.
We need to prevent this from happening in the future, and my thoughts are either:
Can we restrict staff from using the Windows 7 built in zip unarchiver via group policy or labtech somehow
Can we roll out 7zip or something else and force that as the primary zip handler
Any other ideas?
Thinking of doing some user education but it's still a pain to deal with!!!!!
Anyone seen this before?

Try 7-Zip first.... but YemuZip (http://www.yellowmug.com/yemuzip/) will let you specifically make Windows-friendly Zip files.
