Got a client with about 30 staff members opening Zip files created on Macs and the extracted files are showing as encrypted as described here: <a href="http://blogs.msdn.com/b/asklar/archive/2012/05/03/why-do-zip-files-from-mac-os-show-up-as-green-encrypted.aspx" rel="ugc">http://blogs.msdn.com/b/asklar/archive/2012/05/03/why-do-zip-files-from-mac-os-show-up-as-green-encrypted.aspx</a>.<br />

Only way to fix it is to manually clear the encryption flag on each file from the original account it was unzipped from.<br />

We need to prevent this from happening in the future, and my thoughts are either:<br />
Can we restrict staff from using the Windows 7 built in zip unarchiver via group policy or labtech somehow<br />
Can we roll out 7zip or something else and force that as the primary zip handler<br />
Any other ideas?<br />
Thinking of doing some user education but it's still a pain to deal with!!!!!<br />

Mac OS X is the desktop operating system from Apple Inc., found on Macintosh computers.
